The most silent person in the ​Gospels is St. Joseph. There are ​no recorded words of him in the ​entire Bible. He's a man of ​silence. A strong man. A man ​with a deep interior life.

While we have great preachers and ministers in the Church who are on fire with the Spirit, we also have the workers whose faces are usually hidden from the cameras. In this episode, LC Fernandez and I talked to the silent worker behind the online account, Carissimae Dei. Claudine Macalisang began her solo ministry online while living in Thailand and grew her large following during the pandemic.

Many of us may have discovered her work while viewing the world from our devices during the lockdowns. And those who use Canva to make materials for the Church are likely to have used some of her graphics. But it might surprise you to know that she didn’t actually start out as an artist! We’re excited to share the story of her journey into art and the ministry of spreading the beauty of the Catholic faith.

Here are some random things about me:

1. INFP.
   
2. I am a self-taught artist. My job is way different from what I do for CD.
   
3. I grew up as a Catholic. I served in our parish for some time.
   
4. I love coffee.
   
5. I love to read. Fiction and non-fiction. My favorite book is The Little Prince.
   
6. Franciscan at heart. St. Francis was the first saint I've ever known.
   
7. I'm a Swiftie! Hahaha!
   
8. Currently studying for a second degree — ABPsychology.
9. Moving from home made me realize how blessed we are in the Philippines because our communities have the same faith.
